Our story

The history of Living Water Church is short compared to many churches, but we have seen the faithfulness of God in a mighty way throughout the few years! Early during the year 2012 Pastor Micah felt the call to pastor, although he had no idea what that would mean or look like…he just began to pray! Throughout the year God began to clarify that calling into planting a new church!

In 2013 a small group Bible study began in Pastor Micah’s home with only a few families…but quickly the excitement began to grown! Not long after that teenagers showed up at Pastors Micah’s house telling him they wanted to have a Wednesday night youth worship service…so in February of 2013 LWC began a small youth worship gatherings at an apartment complex community building.

LWC had it’s official launch service on Easter Sunday 2013 at the Carmike theatre on Cason Lane!

LWC was based on the principles found in John chapter 4 where Jesus meets the Samaritan woman at the well. Here Jesus crosses over boundaries just to meet the great need this woman had. The the woman becomes turns into a witness for Him and shares the news with others, bringing the town to Him to hear the Good News! At LWC we desire to be a church is open to people from all walks of life, with the hope that Jesus (the Living Water) will change their life!

John 4:14 “but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.

Throughout her history LWC has had many locations where we have held worship: movie theatre, hotel, apartment complex, community center, venue barn, community park, public school, dance studio and back to the school! While the physical location has changed we know the church is not determined by a physical location, but by the body of believers…the family of God!

While we look forward to the day that God blesses us with our own permanent location, we know that God has and always will be faithful!
